On December 30, , around 11AM,  the Marshall Fire sparked near Marshall Road and Highway 93 in Boulder County, Colorado. Driven by 110 mph winds, the fire consumed over 6000 acres and destroyed more than 1000 homes in Superior and Louisville Colorado.
